Online, March 14, 2016 (Newswire.com) - BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--Corizon Health, the nation's leading correctional healthcare company, announced today that it has appointed Douglas Thompson as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Thompson will report to Chief Executive Officer Karey Witty and serve on the company's Senior Executive Leadership Team, which sets strategic direction for the company.

Thompson brings extensive financial and strategic perspective to the CFO role. He will be responsible for the company's financial operations including Financial and Operational Accounting, Corporate Finance, Treasury, Tax, and Risk Management Programs.
Thompson joins Corizon Health from his most recent position as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Beacon Health Options, a behavioral health leader serving more than 48 million people. He was responsible for all financial activities of the company and helped direct their relationships with various state regulatory agencies.
Prior to Beacon, Thompson was Chief Financial Officer of ValueOptions and previously served as Senior Vice President, Decision Support and Treasurer, where he was integral in formulating and implementing financial operations and medical economic strategies. Prior to ValueOptions, Thompson served in various financial capacities at HealthSpring, Inc.
